RULES AND REGULATIONS OF ASSOCIATION OF PAST STUDENTS OF WALCHAND COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, SANGLI.
1. In these Regulations :
a. The 'APS' means Association of Past Students of Walchand College of Engineering Sangli and WCE means Walchand College of Engineering , Sangli.
b. 'General Body' means the General Body of APS.
c. 'Governing Body' means the body which under these Regulations is constituted to be the Governing Body of the APS.
d. 'President' means the President of the Governing Body.
e. 'Vice President (V.P.) means the Vice President of the Governing Body.
f. 'Secretary' means the Secretary of the APS.
g. 'Treasurer' means the Treasurer of the APS.
h. 'Jt. Secretary' means the Joint Secretary of the APS.
i. 'Registrar' means the Registrar of Societies, Maharashtra State, Bombay.
j. 'Act' means Societies Registration Act, 1860.
k. 'Teaching Staff' means one who is enrolled as a teaching staff member on the pay roll of Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli.
l. 'Year' means a period of 12 months ending on 31st March every year.
MEMBERSHIP
2.There shall be following classes of members:
a. Life Members.
b. Honorary Members.
3 . Life member
a. A life member is one who is past student (who has registered as a student of Walchand College of Engineering and passed/left the college subsequently) of Walchand College of Engineering and pays fees as may be fixed from time to time by the Governing body towards contribution to the permanent fund of the Association.
The eligible person would apply for membership; this would be approved by the Governing Body, which is vested with the right to accept or not to accept it without quoting any reasons thereof.
b. Honorary Member : The Association by a resolution of the Governing Body Cite Honorary Membership to an outstanding faculty or any other outstanding person, who otherwise cannot be made by the Governing Body to such persons.
c. Honorary Member has to voting right nor can he hold any post of the office bearer.
4a. A member may resign by giving 7 days' intimation in writing of his or her intention to do so.
