Physics Dept news 1983-84

Routine work of teaching on degree and diploma side is going on smoothly.
Physics curriculum of F. Y. Diploma has been changed, new experiments were intro-duced. Apparatus worth about Rs. 8000/-were purchased.

Dr. Sathe L. N. Head of the Depart-ment continues to be the nominee of the Chairman on the Managing Committee of the Walchand College Co-operatative Consumers' Stores'. He is an active member of the Marathi Vidnyan Parishad, Sangli. He is also the Secretary of the Miraj Taluka Bridge Association, Miraj.
Shri H. G. Joshi and Shri N. V. Khandare continue to be the Office bearers of the Co-operative Credit Society of the College.

Prof. V.M. Kulkarni has completed the project on " Improved Analog Clock to display all 24 Hrs. on the dial'. The project has been financially assisted by Seth Gulab-chand research foundationa of the college. The working model has been handed over to Mfs Tiwac Clock Factory at Dharwar for production
