I) Educational Tour of the B. E. (Mechanical, students visited important indust-rial places like Bombay, Baroda, Ajmer, Delhi, Gwalior. Bhilai etc., during November 1972. Plof. G. K. Pathak and Shri R. G. Nene accompanied a group of 40 students during the Tour Programme. The party, during their stay in New Delhi, was happy to call on The President Shri V. V. Giri, the Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi and the Finance Minister Shri Y. B. Chavan and chat with them for a while.
The patty visited following industries;- a ) Jyoti Limited, Petro-Chemicals, Hindustan Tractors at Baroda, b) Railway Workshop at Ajmer, c) Asia 72 Fair at New Delhi. d) Gwalior potteries at Gwalior e) Bhilai Steel Plant at Bhilai, f) Koradi Thermal Power Station near Nagpur.
