Mech Dept News 1991-92

Department has got DCA grant 91-92 of Re.6 Lacs for CNC-Laboratory, Tenders are already called for the same and CNC-trainer and Two axis retrofitting for MITR HMT Milling machine will be purchased in due course.
Dept has received one more DCA Grant 91-92 of Rs. 10 Lakhs for Modernization of Production Engg. laboratory. These projects were prepared by Shri. N. D. bapat and Shri. M. Y. Khire. Further follow up procedure will be started in due course.

Dept has completed M.E.(vocational) course instructional work. of 3 batches in production design and power egg. branches.

1. As usual the dept. has tested Centrifugal Pumps, sluice Valves, Pressure gauges, Rickshaw Meters, Electric Motors for dimensions, Foot Valves for various industries as per ISI specifications.
2. Sarvashrl. N. D. Bapat, V. M. Diwan, A. G. Potdar, M. Y. Khire and Shri. Y. R. Atre have conducted the up-gradation examinations at M/s. Kirioskar Bros. Ltd., Kirloskarwadi during Dec. 91 to Mar. 92.
3. Prof. M. G. Bhat and Shri. S. P. Chavan offered consultancy services to some sugai and other industries in the area of Vibration Analysis.
