Papers Published/Conferences Attended :
Prof. (Dr.) H. P. Inarndar has attended a National Conference on " Naural Networks and Fuzzy Systems " organised by Anna University, Madras (16-18, March 1995) and presented a jointly authored paper on 'Fuzzy Systems'.
Achievements of Persons :
(1) Prof. (Dr.) H. P. Inamdar has published (through M/s. Central Techno Publications, Nagpur) a book on ' Engineering Drawing - Electrical '. Thi text-book is specially prepared for first year Electrical Engineering Diploma Students.
(2) Prof. V. N. Bapat is awarded Ph.D. by Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in July, 1995.
(3) Prof. (Dr.) H. P. lnamdar and Shri. S. M. Ainapure are elected as Members of Board of studies in Electrical engineering of Shivaji University, Kolhapur for a period of five years. (1994-99). Prof. (Dr.) H. P. Inamdar is also elected as a Member of Faculty of Engineering of Shivaji University for a period of five years (1994-99)
(4) S. D. Patil (Vice-Principal P.W. Wing) presented a technical paper entitled 'Microprocessor Based over current ?Relay with Auto Recfhesing Facility' during the seminar on 'Electrical Power System held on 18-19 Nov. 1994 at Govt. College of Engineering, Amaravati. - Participated and was co-author for the paper entitled 'Computer Aid for Eye Surgeons' conference of IEEE EMBS during 15th to 18th Feb. 1995 at New Delhi.
Summer/Winter School Attended :
Shir. A. P. Vaidya and Shri. R. G. Bhosale attended IETE winter school on 'Modern Technology' of Pattern Recognition and their Engineering Applications' organised by college of Engineering, Jodhapur in December 1994.
Testing and Consultancy Work :
Shri. D. K. Deshpande was working as 'In-Charge of Testing Work' over the past 10 years. He has introduced certain facilities for testing of additional equipments. 'Shri. Deshpande worked quite efficiently and systematically.
Dr. V. N. Bapat is now made as In-Charge of Testing Work. In the Electrical Engineering Department usual work of Testing of Induction motors etc. as per ISI is carried out. The calibration of meters such as Voltmeter, ammeter, Wattmeter, Frequency Meter, techometer etc. is also done. Some special problems like estimation of capacity rating of induction motors, welding transformers, etc. referred by Maharashtra State Electricity Board are successfully solved, Expert openions regarding low-tension distribution boxes, capacitor banks etc. asked by some industries are also given. Some of the faculty-members are also associated with consultancy work for the neighbours industries.

New Appintments
Mrs. K. V. Naik and Mrs. A. P. Revanakar are appointed temporarily as lecturer in Electrical Engineering on Degree side and Miss M. M. Kulkarni an polytechnic side.
Study Group : All the faculty-members in Electrical Engineering Department have formed a 'Study Group'. The objectives of this study group is to arrange talks on various topics and to promote
interaction amongst the staff members. The following are some of the talks arranged by study Group during this academic year.

A visit to Gokak falls was arranged by the study Group in September 94, Almost all the teaching and non-teaching staff members together with their family members and M.E. students participated in this tour. A group of 11 faculty members visited a rural-based industry' Best Dies and Moulds Pvt. Ltd.' at Belanki (Taluk Mira j) and appraised themselves the socio industrial aspects of the project.
Winter School :
Indian society for Technical Education (ISTE) has sanctioned proposal by the Electrical Engineering Department for conducting a winter-school " Brushless D.C. and other Electrical Drives' for teachers in Engineering colleges all over India. This course will be organised by the Department in December 1995. The course co-ordinator is Prof. S. D. Patil and co-ordinator is Prof. Y. R. Atre.
1) Under the guidance of shri D. K. Deshpande, Shri J. Y. Mane and Shri A. S. More an educational tour was arranged on 18 Feb. 1995 at Radhanagari power station and Jaysingpur M.S.E.B. substation for second year Electrical Engs. Students.
2) An industrial tour was aranged for third year Elect. Engg. student on 16 MarCh 1995 under the guidance of Shri D.K.Deshpande & Shri. A.S.More.
They visited & studied the layout of following industries.
a) Shree Peti-ochem : Transformer oil Reclamation b) Shree Natht Industries : Distribution and welding c) Apex. Engnieers : Computer based Instrumentation. d) Digvi jay INdustries : Seam welding & Fabrication e) Manik steel Limited : Steel rods & wires f) Gort stampwell Industries : Stampings & Aluminium die cart.
3) An educational tour was arranged for third year Elect. Students on 4 March 1995 under the guidance of Shri. N.G. Savgave & Shri. A. S. More at Vishrambag M.S.E.B. substation.
