2. a) Mr. V. B. Dhotre has taken retirement volunteerily after a long service of more than twenty five years.
b) Mr. M. S. Patil Tech. Asst retired on 31st March 1997 after 38 years of long service.
3. Achievement of persons
The M.E. dissertation Guided by Prof. Y.R.Atre titled "Digital Simulation for the eliminations of power system characteristic Resonance" of Mr. S.D. Upadhye was awarded first prize I.S.T.E.-L & T National award for the best M.Tech. Thesis in Electrical and Electronics Engg, The award was given on 5th January 1997. during I.S.T.E. 26th annual convention at Malaviya Engineering College, Jaipur.
4. Prof. Dr. H. P. Inamdar presented the following papers at the International conferences held in Coimbatore and in Bangalore "Fuzzy control of Anaesthasia Transfer using Gentic Algorithm" and "Fuzzy control of Hand Grasp opening and contact force during stimulation of paralyzed muscle.
Dr. Inamdar has also written the following books.

5. Prof. R. R. Marathe has developed an Electronic Ballast for fluroscent tubes. This ballast saves 30% of energy consumption. The weight is also reduced to about one fourth that of a conventional choke coil.
