Testing and Consultancy :
The testing and consultancy section of the department had taken up diverse types of problems besides the routing work of testing and calibration. To name a few, a special type of 24 hour continuous test for 3-phase capacitor was successfully carried out for M/s. Shakti Capacitors, Sangli.

Estimation of Capacities of induction motors and welding transformers which exist without the technical data has been done the department for M.S.E.B. and private parties. The work is in progress on building a completely automatic PC-Based test bench for 3-Phase induction motors with help of final year students. The interaction between the industry and the department has been evidenced during the last year's period.
