Electrical Dept News 1983-84

(1) Prof S. D. Patil and Shri R. R. Marathe attended a Microprocessors Course of 5 weeks

duration in Novem-ber-December 1983, at LIT., Bombay.
(2) Shri H. P. Inamdar is continuing with his research work in Partial Dischar-ges under the

guidance of Dr. R. S. Nema at the Indian Institute of Scien-ces, Bangalore.
(3) Shri N. M. Gatfane resigned in July 1983 for better prospects outside.
(4) Dr. S. R. Atre is leaving the College in June 1984. He is leaving for U. S. A. for advanced

studies in his field.
(5) Shri Suhaskumar Kamble was selected for the award of the Late Prof S. D. Phatak memorial prize of Rs. 200/- for the Best Student of the B. E. (Elec.) Class in the year 1983-84 This prize has been instituted by the Electrical Engineering Students Association since 1982
T. E. ( Electrical ) students went for a South India Tour in December 1983. Prof. V. V. Lokare

and A. L. Thacker accompanied them.
The final year Diploma students went on an educational tour of South India in February 1984.
