Computer Dept News 1994-95

Department has successfully conductd a certificate course on 'C' language for M.E. students and staff members of the institute. Department has newely purchased Modi Olivetti 386 SX machines, one 486 m/c, voice cards, EPROM programmer kit, TC++ (3.0 version), Visual C++, TP7. Upgradation of Novell Netware from 2.15 version to 3.12 version has been done.
A new hardware laboratory has been set up to care for hardware requirements of the course. The laboratory is well equipped with 8 it & 16 bit microprocessor kits alongwith its peripheral cards. Department is conducting post graduate d;,,loma in computer science with full capacity of 40 student's.
The department has received a sanction from AICTE to conduct post graduate course in Computer Engg.
SUMMER SCHOOL / WINTER SCHOOL
Shri. D. L. Pandhare has attended a summer school in Device Driver For Persona] Computer at University of loorkee (U.P.) during 20/6/94 to 6/7/94.
Shri. J. G. Kanitkar has attended a training programme on "Certified Netware Engineer (CNE)" at pune during 19-12-94 to 10-1-95.
Appointment / Resignation : Shri G. S. Chinchwadkar and Shri N. T. Adsule left the Institute for better prospects. The following staff members joined on Ad-hoc basis :
