From this year the scientific based syllabus is introduced for F.Y. to T.Y. classes Hence lot of modifications additions and alterations in syllabee of the courses was to be faced in the department which was successfully managed. 

Shri. N. N. Kamble lecturer in this department is confirmed in the service this year.
Shri. S. N. Kulkarni lecturer in our department has presented a technical paper on the subject "Low Cost Sanitation - Pay and use option" in a seminar organised by Dept. by civil engineering and Maharashtra Jeevan Pradikaran on the eve of Golden Jubelee. 

Mr. S. N. Kulkarni was engaged in consultancy work related to Rural Water Supply Scheme for Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, Sangli circle. 

 

All staff members have ,participated in different capacities in the extra caricular activities organised by the college. The department is proud of this participation. A separate function was organised in the department to appriciate the outstanding performance in the B.T.E. exams 1997. This resulted in a healthy and competitive atmosphere in academic activity. Some of the students ,have received endowment prizes. Maintaining the same tradition some students achieved the admission to degree cources directly on merit basis who completed Diploma from our department. 

 

The send off function for final year students was organised on 25th April, 1998 with enthusiasm. H.O.D (Civil) polytechnic wing contribted organising past students*gathering.

1. Coordinated a 'Short Term Course on Computer Programming in "C" Language' The course was organized by Civil Engg. Department, W.C.E., Sangli. 

2. Worked as Resource Person for Summer School on 'Computer Programming and AutoCAD' at Govt., Poly. Miraj Summer School was sponsored by I.S.T.E., New Delhi. 

3. Completed Summer School of one month duration on 'Computer Application in Mechanical Engineering' at W.C.E., Sangli. The Summer School was sponsored by I.s.T.E. & A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi. 

4. Completed Winter School of Two Weeks. duration on "Computer Vision I.P.R.S. (Image Processing & Remote Sensing) at W.C.E., Sangli. The Winter School was sponsored by 1.S.T.E. & A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi. 

5. Completed Refresher Course of one week duration on 'PADS' (Performance Appraisal & Development System) at W.C.E., Sangli. The course was sponsored by I.S.T.E. & A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi.
