(a)Teaching at the Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, From 1959 worked on various positions viz.Asstt.Lecturer, Lecturer, Asstt.Professor, Professor and Head of Mechanical Engg.Department, Vice Principal and Principal ( 1979 to 1997) and retired on 31.12.1997.

(b)Worked as Vice Chancellor, Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences, Gangtok, from Feb.1999 to May 2003.

Teaching, Research and Consultancy Activities:

1. Have taught almost all undergraduate subjects in Mechanical Engineering.

2. Recognised as Post –graduate teacher by Research & by papers. Have taught Computer Techniques in Design and Process Equipment Design at P.G. level.

3. Practiced participative teaching –learning by making students take
Active Part in the process of learning.

4. Have set up a Production and Training Centre at the Walchand College of Engg. to manufacture odd items for the local industry. This centre has supplied Quadrupole Magnets for the Variable Energy Cyclotron Project of the BARC, prestressing wedges for the National Highway Bridge on Panchaganga river at Kolhapur, stainless steel gadgets for storing calf heart valves for the Wanless Hospital, Grape drying hot air based arrangements for Tasgaon grape growers, teaching aids for Engineering Colleges all over the country etc.

5. Worked as consultant / investigator for-
Maharastra Co.op.Fertilizers and Chemicals Mumbai for use of anhydrous Ammonia Injected at root zones for sugarcane, Fuel Instruments and Engineers, Ichalkaranji for improved Design of Testing Machine components, Kirloskar Bros. Kirloskarwadi for design and testing of Michell type thrust bearing of deep well turbine pumps,
Akay Industries, Hubli, for bearing temp. Control in Petroleum handling Pumps ,Gavane Patil Pvt. Ltd. Miraj for improvement in manufacturing and testing of Sluice valves, Yashwant Co-Op. Processors Ichalkaranji for energy saving measures, Walchandnagar Industries for vibration analysis of sugar centrifugals etc.
