1. ADMINISTRATIVE AND ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE: (27 Years)
1.1. Principal of reputed Government Aided Engg. College i) Worked as the Principal of Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. An institution of higher learning at U.G., P.G. and Ph.D. Programs. ii) Accreditation process executed under my leadership. iii) College has been identified as a nodal institution under TEQIP program.
1.2. Establishing The Engineering College: (W.I.T. Solapur.) i) The project of Rs. 5 crore have been completed to establish an Engineering College having intake capacity of 300 students, right from its inception. ii) Five departments viz. Production Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering were established. iii) The college and hostel buildings along with amenities were constructed and supervised. iv) The laboratory equipment, machines and workshop machinery needed for the college were procured and commissioned in a systematic manner. v) Laboratory equipments were manufactured wherever required. vi) Library was established in a scientific manner by procuring about 20,000 text and reference books, periodicals and magazines. vii) Optimization and JIT (Just In Time) techniques were used while establishing the college which has resulted in completion of the project in record time and saving of more than Rs. 100 lakhs in the estimated cost of the project.
1.3. Establishing Technopark: Seth Lalchand Hirachand Technopark has been established which caters services for the Development of Human Resource and technology transfer in Industry and Institution.
1.4. Academic Achievements:
i) The teaching staff (100) and non-teaching staff (150) were recruited. ii) Attempt has been made in motivating the staff using Quality Circle techniques. iii) Experiments were made in the Education system which resulted in best performance of the college in the Shivaji University. iv) Started P.G. Course such as M.E. (Mech.) in Production Engineering (vacational) and P.G. Diploma in Computer Science. v) Facilities for diploma in Business Finance were developed. vi) Given guidance to U.G. and P.G. students and Ph.D. research students. vii) Worked as examiner at U.G. and P.G. level for several Universities. viii) Worked as refry/evaluator for Ph.D. programs.
2. TEACHING AND RESEARCH EXPERIENCE : (12 YEARS) 2.1. Teaching experience: (9 YEARS) Worked as Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Walchand College of Engineering, SANGLI and taught Graduate and Post-graduate subjects related to Machine Design and Production Engineering areas. ii) Attended International Conference held at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden during 25-29th August 1986 and visited Hidelburg and Munich Universities in Germany. Also Visited I.L.O. Centers at Geneva (Switzerland) and Turin (Italy) for study purpose.
